Michaela Kohutova is a trainee lawyer at the Theocharidou & Associates LLC, since January 2017. She comes from Humenne, Slovakia.
In 2005, she began her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia and graduated in 2008.
The same year, she decided to attend the postgraduate program at the same university and she obtained her Master’s degree (Mgr.) in 2012.
The last year of her studies at Comenius University, she started her practice as a junior legal assistant, at the international law firm Allen & Overy in Bratislava and after completing her studies she worked as a legal trainee in Wilson & Partner, s.r.o. Bratislava.
Later, in 2014, she decided to pursue her second Master’s degree in International law and signed at the University of Central Lancashire in Cyprus and in 2016 she obtained her second Master’s degree (LLM).
During her LLM course she actively participated on Jean Monnet Round Tables and Guest lectured provided by the UCLan Cyprus, for example: “Legal aspects of the European Banking Union’; ‘The Law of Financial and Economic Governance in the EU’; ‘EU Citizenship and Social Rights’.
After completing her studies, she decided to stay and live in Cyprus.
During her studies and legal practice, Michaela gained exceptional written and communication skills as well as time management skills and proved for having an eye for a detail and “to be done” attitude.
Michaela speaks fluently Slovak, Czech, English, German, and she presently attends an intensive course of Russian and Greek language.
